Technical strength
In early period of 1980s, medium-temperature and medium-pressure forced circulation boiler and the supporting turbine unit were adopted for CDQ boiler, which both steam quality and generation capacity were low; and the forced circulation pumps has the characteristics of expensive spares, high energy consumption for operating and long payback period of CDQ boiler power generation.
In order to improve the overall power generation efficiency, in 1985, Nippon Steel developed the technology of high-temperature and high-pressure natural circulation boiler and power generation, which technology was used for 175t/h CDQ project for Yahata Steel Works in Japan in 1986. And in 2005, the same technology was applied for 150t/h CDQ project for Jigang in China, gaining recognition and promotion from domestic coking industry. At present, the high-temperature and high-pressure natural circulation boiler and power generation has become the mainstream technology with high efficiency of steam production, high-quality of steam and good efficiency of power generation, and wide range of adaption, which is applicable for 85t/h-260t/h CDQ plant. And the power generation will be improved by about 12%-15% as a whole compared with the technology of medium temperature and medium pressure.
Innovation is endless. In the project of “EPC of 210t/h CDQ Project for Coking Plant for Technical Reform of Industrial Upgrading (Phase II) for Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical Co., Ltd.”, high temperature and ultra-high pressure primary intermedium reheat (Hereinafter referred to as Single Ultra-high Reheat) waste heat boiler power generation technology was adopted and successfully put into production along with power generation connecting to the Grid in June 2022. In this project, boiler steam quality and turbine power generation efficiency was improved further, and verified the technology of Double Ultra-high reheat waste heat boiler power generation raised by our company. Power generation will be increased by about 13% by using the technology of “Double Ultra-high Reheat” in comparison to the technology of high-temperature and high-pressure waste heat power generation.
From medium-temperature & medium-pressure, high-temperature & high-pressure to the current technology of “Single Ultra-high Reheat” and “Double Ultra-high Reheat”, our company is continuously concerning on independent development, iteration and updating on the waste heat power generation of CDQ, leading the industry technology trend and owning complete independent intellectual property rights.
