Boiler Power Generation Technology

High temperature (HT)/ultra-high temperature (UHT) & ultra-high pressure (UHP) + medium primary re-heat boiler power generation technology


Since 2005, high temperature & high pressure (HTHP) natural circulation waste heat boiler and power generation technology for CDQ from NSE has been promoted and applied in China mainland, and the forced-circulation pump was cancelled, which has saved the cost of construction and operation.


In recent years, Beijing JC Energy and Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BJCEEE”) summarized operation data of CDQ waste heat power generation, closely combined with the fluctuating characteristics of CDQ operating conditions, carried out in-depth theoretical research and technical breakthrough on the thermal system, and developed and constructed HT & UHP primary medium reheat boiler power generation system for CDQ in 2020, making full use of CDQ waste heat to improve the boiler power generation efficiency, HT & UHP reheat turbine generator unit for CDQ was successfully connected to the Grid and put into operation on Jun. 3, 2022.


BJCEEE focuses on the research and development of CDQ waste heat power generation technology, continues to carry out scientific and technological breakthrough, and gives play to the advantages of system integration. From medium temperature & medium pressure and HTHP to the third generation of CDQ power generation technology (HT & UHP reheat power generation technology), it continues to iterate and upgrade to promote the development of industry technology. Compared with the second generation of HTHP waste heat power generation, the comprehensive power generation efficiency has increased by more than 13%. Based on 8000 hours of power generation per annual, the annual power generation capacity has increased by more than 33.6 million kW.h, the annual power generation income has increased by CNY16.8 million (calculated by CNY 0.5/kW.h), the annual standard coal saving is about 13,600 tons, the annual CO2 emission reduction is about 37,000 tons, and the investment in new equipment can be recovered in 1 to 1.5 years.


The significant improvement of steam parameters and power generation efficiency requires higher safety. BJCEEE has developed and applied intelligent technologies such as temperature zoning control of CDQ operation, reheat boiler monitoring & alarm, startup & shutdown of thermal system after unit failure, and protection, which have improved the safety and operability of the system.
