Successful Commissioning of CDQ Plant along with Equipped Turbine Generator Connecting to Grid for 3.6 MTPA Coking and Hydrogen Making Comprehensive Utilization Project for Hohhot Risun Zhongran Energy Co., Ltd.

2×260t/h CDQ Plants for Hohhot Risun Zhongran Energy Co., Ltd. were successfully commissioned respectively on 27/11/2022 (NO.1 CDQ) and 21/2/2023 (NO.2 CDQ), which EPC was conducted by Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. and equipment procurement & technical service was executed by Beijing JC Energy & Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. That 2×35MW Extraction Condensing Turbine Generators equipped for NO.1 & NO.2 CDQ were successfully commissioned and connected to the Grid respectively on 18/1/2023 and 10/3/2023.

This 2×260t/h CDQ waste heat power generation project is equipped for 3 MTPA coking and hydrogen making comprehensive utilization project Phase II for Hohhot Park of Risun Group, which is also a major project in Hohhot city. The project mainly consists of two sets of 260t/h CDQ and two sets of 35MW extraction condensing turbine generator and is equipped with steam system, extraction steam system, condensate water system and 5G intelligent remote centralized control system, utilizes waste heat from CDQ plant for power generation, adopts the operation mode of self-generating and self-using, guaranteeing electricity supply for Phase II of 3 MTPA coking and hydrogen making comprehensive utilization project in the Park.

The 2×260t/h CDQ waste heat power generation project adopts the advanced technology of CDQ from Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd., realizing high-end facility, automation and complete unmanned operation. Post-commissioning annual power generation is 0.5 billion kWh, annual energy conservation reaches 5.38 billion MJ, if counted as standard coal, it could save about 183,953.83 tons of coal per annual, annual reduction of CO2 is 0.6 million tons, supposed each tree can absorb 18 kgs of CO2 annually, it equals to plant 30 million trees per annual. Meanwhile, as one of the key promoted projects by Risun Group, responding on the policy of national industry, energy conservation & emission reduction and resource comprehensive utilization, it focuses on reducing the emission of pollutant and realizing the recovery of the waste heat that was diffused into the atmosphere as steam directly before. And the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction is significant.

The execution of the project of 2×260t/ CDQ waste heat power generation is also the performance of thought of ecological civilization by Hohhot Park of Risun Group, and also a practical action to fulfill the Peak Carbon Dioxide Emissions of industrial field specified in the Implementation Plan of Peak Carbon Dioxide Emission issued by Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The completion and commissioning of this project effectively improved the status of single structure of chemical industry in Inner Mongolia Tuoqing Economic Development Zone and also promoted the level of chemical industry chain, accelerate to form a novel development pattern of Green, Low-carbon and cycle industry.
