Our Action, Children’s Future

On the 24^th of May, 2014, Beijing Olympic Forest Park in the rainfalls was full of happiness and joyousness. More than 5,000 volunteers from over 50 well-known companies such as Beijing JC Energy & Environment Engineering Co., Ltd. (“BJCEEE”), Coca-Cola company, ConocoPhillips, etc., as well as from 20 universities and colleges, in spite of the rain, jointly participated in the activities with the theme of “The Third ‘Walk for Love’ Spring Charity Walking in 2014” and “Out of Network and House, Towards the Playground”. The event was aimed at spreading and promoting the idea of healthy life in the manner of walking to raise the donations for improving the learning and living conditions of the students from the schools for migrant workers’ children.  

Based on the introductions by Mr. XIA Jun, in charge of voluntary activities in the name of “Share the Care” under FESCO, from May 2012 up to now, “Share the Care” has launched more than 200 activities for the purpose of supporting and assisting the schools for migrant workers’ children, with some 60 groups of volunteers visiting and investigating 71 schools for migrant workers’ children, about 90 schools obtaining the assistance and with 12 summer camps joined by the schools for migrant workers’ children. Almost 90,000 students have had the benefit of the activities, which have been involved in over 10,000 volunteers from foreign companies and university students.

 It is learned that all entry fees and money from charity sale in “the Walk for Love” will be served for the summer camps of the school for the migrant workers’ children in 2014.
