The Project of Power Generation With Waste Heat from CDQ
Successfully Went Into Operation in Laiwu Taishan Coking Co., Ltd.

 

The current stamping coke of Laiwu Taishan Coking Co., Ltd. is 5.5m high with 2× 65 holes, and according to the company’s unified planning, it will adopt the domestic advanced CDQ technology to construct a large-scale CDQ plant (boiler with natural circulation of high temperature and high pressure) with processing capacity 170t/h, and a 25MW extraction condensing turbine generator will also be constructed as an auxiliary system. The construction of this set of CDQ plant will take an EPC model, undertaken by BJCEEE as the general contractor, and this CDQ plant will have the largest processing capability in Shandong province.

 

The first steel column of CDQ was set in place on April 40, 2012, and after 8 months of joint efforts by staffs of BJCEEE and Taishan Steel Group Company, the CDQ plant went into operation smoothly on December 27, 2012, and the CDQ power station began grid-connected generation on January 24, 2013.

 

Currently the CDQ plant and power station are operating smoothly, with 100% dry quenching rate, the average daily generation capacity 460,000kWh/h. And in the mean time the low pressure steam extracted is 15,000kg/h, which not only meets the demand of the steam consumption of the whole coking company, but also transfers a plenty of power to Taishan Steel Group Company. The significantly reduced coke rate of the Blast Furnace makes a positive contribution to the energy-saving, environmental protection and efficiency-increasing of the company.
