CMC: Coal Moisture Control
Adopting CMC device of NSCE’s technology is to use less investment for getting tangible benefits.
 
Introduction on CMC
CMC is a device which will dry the coke with 10% water content into 6% before to put the coke into coke oven. It will take plenty of economic returns for using the coke after drying.
All of the steel plants in Nippon Steel Corporation have been equipped with CMC device. CMC adopts fluidized bed, which has been brought into Muroran Works in 1996, products well, and creates benefits constantly.
 
Characteristics of CMC
1.      Less investment
To adopt fluidized bed with direct heating can realize less investment and miniaturization device structure.
2.      Low operating cost
To adopt coke-oven exhaust gas as MC heat source and not to be needed other fuels.
Because of few running part and simple device structure, service is easy.
3.      Plenty of operating achieves
    Through having created achieves for years, CMC operating technology has been established and possessed.
  
The Benefits after Using CMC Device
More than 20 Million Yuan annual
(The processing capacity is 180t/h, which is the estimate budge on dry 5% water content)
1.      Increase 10% production capacity
Through raising coal density, it can largely increase the output of coke oven.
2.      Save 10% energy
Through decreasing the water content in the coke, it can save retorting heat which will be consumed.
3.      Increase the coal intensity
Through increasing the coal density, it can increase the coal coagulating power, in order to largely increase the coal intensity.
4.      Realize the stability of production operation
Through controlling the water content in coal, it can stabilize the production of the coke.
