On November 26, 2010, 125t/h CDQ for No. 3 and 4 ovens in iron burning area of Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., the EPC of which is in the charge of our company started to break earth officially. Currently, we are preparing to start blasting and digging cubic meter of earth and stone of No.1 foundation pit and to start the artificial dug bore stake of No.2 foundation.

The CDQ device which in the iron burning area of Shougang Shuigang was built in Shougang Shuigang Coal Coking Branch Company in Liupanshui. This CDQ device matched with the original No.3 and 4 coke oven. The capacity of this CDQ device is 125t/h, the total time limit of this project including designing time is 17 months, and the total investment including affiliated equipment is 206.3 million Yuan. The owner of this device is Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. Coal Coking Branch, the supervision unit is WISDRI Engineering Supervision & Management Co., Ltd.

Liupanshui is a typical karst landform, at where the topography condition and geology condition are complex, and known as "the weather is bad and the road is bumpy”, less flat, and a lot of mountains, quicksand and karst caves. Additionally, this CDQ device is used for the old ovens, the resources in this area are very limited. All of these made a big problem for designing and construction. After determining the intention of EPC, leaders and technicians from Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. and Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd went to the site and do field survey again and again. With the help of the owner, we modified and improved our general drawing several times, and made full use of the field topography to match with the existing facilities and overcame the technical difficulties.

We drew up a practical construction organization planning as the construction basis of Shougang Shuigang CDQ project when our constructor  fully understood the design concept，grasped the actual situation and referred to the successful experience of other project after they had arrived at the site. In addition, we barricaded the site, made map licenses, arranged site offices and working conditions according to the detailed construction network of overall duration to make a full preparation for latter construction, which met approbation of the owner and supervision unit.

Currently, Guizhou Province was suffering a rare and continuous heavy snow with a temperature reduction, which caused a great difficulty to the construction of this project. In order to ensure the overall duration of Shougang Shuigang CDQ project, under the premise of fully guaranteed of constructors’ safety and construction quality, the constructors started to dug bore stake in the heavy to completed foundation casting of the chamber and casting of artificial dug bore stake of No.2 foundation before Spring Festival, to create conditions for proper construction after Spring Festival.
